LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY ATTORNEY DANIEL ALVAREZ
I was born in New York City to immigrant parents and grew up in an English and Spanish-speaking household. I experienced firsthand the struggles facing those who are new to this country. My first job was working as a paperboy at age 10. I have worked hard ever since. I moved to Kentucky in 1989 and was one of a handful of Latinos living in Louisville.
I graduated from the University of Louisville in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts in History. I went on to attend the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville in 2000. After graduating from law school, I began my legal career at the Jefferson County Public Defenders Office. There, I honed my skills defending the accused. I also gained an appreciation for the value in treating everyone with respect and compassion, regardless of their circumstances.
In 2007 I was awarded the Louisville Bar Association’s Young Lawyer Award, dedicated to noted Louisville trial attorney Frank E. Haddad, Jr. and given in recognition to one who has “…garnered the respect and admiration of both the judiciary and their colleagues.”
In 2013, I was selected by my peers as a Top Lawyer in the Louisville Magazine, click here or on the image to the left to view the listing.
In 2014, Louisville Magazine selected me as a “Top Lawyer 2014.” I was
quoted, “This is quite an honor for me. The fact that Louisville Magazine included me in its selection of “Top Lawyers 2014,” signals that my constant effort to deliver excellent work has paid off. It is gratifying to be recognized in this way.”
I have a passion for representing and protecting the rights of others. Please call at (502) 272-2006 or email me to discuss your particular case.
